If that is true than Spiderman couldn't possibly defeat him?

He could have defeated him, not destroyed him. HE did technically defeat him by using the poles and creating a sound wave that seperated Brock from the Venom. I am not sure how venom was destroyed unless it was because the grenade actually entered into Venom and that destroyed him from the inside out. Maybe the heat melted his DNA who knows. It is a hole I noticed during the movie.

I was let down as well... for similar reasons...

~There was no purely evil bad guys...it felt like a big super hero AA meeting
~While the 'dancing' got a laugh in the theatre it was truly pathetic.
~Venom was ...gay. Topher is cool and all but... venom is supposed to be huge and deep voiced and a bit of a schytsofrenic (spelling i know) he always refered to himself as 'we' in the comics and games. Instead we get tophers normal voice and cheesy talking venom mask.

and @ ^....dont forget that some of the sybiot was still with the professor guy (who in spiderman 4 becomes lizardman..) and hence we have carnage... do some google searching and you can find this out...

carnage is awesome..can't wait to see him in action.

Bowser would made a better villain than Venom in this movie!

That was the biggest one for me. It absolutely destroyed the character for me... A little thing I know, but there is something menacing and terrifing about an overpowered individual that refers to himself as we. Kinda interesting that the movie never really calls him venom.

I was also really dissapointed. I wouldn't say "don't watch it until it's on TV. It was still worth my sixteen Rand (that's a little more then 1 pound sterling). Some parts really sucked. What was up with the bit where (I think it was close to the final fight) this American flag pops up out of nowhere and Spidey conveniently swings/runs past. Very patriotic I guess if you're american (I'm not so I won't pretend to understand) but also very cheesy from my point of view

Watch it again. They were hardly looking like they were going to have an orgasm in the street. The look on their face was more like - What kind of moron are you?

Spiderman 1 sucked
Spiderman 2 sucked
Spiderman 3 sucked
Fantastic Four sucked
Hellboy sucked
Ghostrider sucked
Superman sucked
Batman sucked

Anyone see the trend? films based on comics suck. £100 says the next Fantastic Four film sucks. I have some hope for Transformers but not much.

Ghost World and Sin City didn't suck.

But Spiderman 3 did... 3 villains, and still NO action!! Besides, Tobey Maguire is simply WAY too ugly and nerdy to be a good superhero. The looks on those girls faces was pure disgust when he walked down the street all emo'd up.

They simply tried to fit way too much into two hours, so the whole film felt bloated, and strained.

Besides, MJ whines more than any of the others. Peter tries to be supportive, but the truth of the matter is that she just couldn't handle the fact that she sucks at singing. Seriously, when did that happen? They set her up to be an actress, and then all of a sudden she's in a Broadway musical?

Doesnt matter how much they suck. What matters is how much money they make.

You forgot Punisher, Blade, Elektra and V for Vendetta and the upcoming Ironman and Flash movies.

Personally, i liked Blade 1, Batman Begins (although Nolan really needs to work on his action scene camera work), Spiderman 1-2, Hellboy and Superman.

You missed numerous other films from that list of comic based films for example the original Batman and Superman films, the Blade trilogy, The Xmen Films, 300, Aliens Vs Predator, Catwoman *shudders*, Elektra, The Punisher, Hulk, Daredevil, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Men in Black, The Mask, Road to Perdition, Spawn, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (and thats still only naming a few adn ignoring all the future upcoming ones) Most of which are good - amazing films, a few of which are not so good films.

You have to accept the Storys of the films will never be exact to the story from the comics, but most are very close and often have little things that only fans will pick up on. The storys are generally different but the character behind them is generally exactly how they should be (well in the good conversions anyways)

Films coverted from comics are also alot more popular than films converted from games and often than films coverted from books. People Expect conversions to be the same as the original and when theres little deviations or changes to make the film work better for non fans, the medium or so its not too long etc. then they get seriously shunned.

Sophitia, these movies SUCKED too! It's unoriginal and the director for some unknown reason put in different scripts and stuffs into the film and made it worst from the comics or videogames adoption.

Hope Transformer would finally get the formula right but knowning how braindead Hollywood and directors are... Transformer is sure to suck like the rest!

I dont deny several of them sucked especially Catwoman *shudders* but in general most of them are generally considered good films by Alot of people. No most of them arnt amazing Blockbuster films either but that doesnt make them Bad films, There isnt a film around that someone somewhere either likes or dislikes.

I disagree.

The fight sequences were filmed that way to show Batman's fury, like if the audiences were there live.
Nolan wanted his fights to be realistic; have you seen a real fight/brawl? Schoolyard or bar, I don't think you'll see people fighting choreographed à la Matrix.

On-topic: no surprise for me here. This movie was the lamest of the three. I even had to cringe and close my eyes during the romantic and cheesy scenes.

Ugh.
